Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This opportunity is for experienced Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) to provide maternity leave coverage within elementary school settings located in Minneapolis and the surrounding Anoka area. These contract positions offer the chance to support students communication development across multiple schools, with options for both in-person and virtual assignments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality speech and language therapy services to elementary school students based on individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Conduct assessments, evaluate student progress, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop effective treatment plans
- Provide virtual therapy services as needed, adhering to state regulations and caseload guidelines
- Maintain clear documentation and communicate regularly with school staff and families
- Comply with Department of Education and local district standards for service delivery
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Minnesota Tier 3 or Tier 4 Education Certification in Speech-Language Pathology required
- CCC-SLP certification strongly preferred
- Previous experience working in school settings, particularly with elementary-aged children, is highly desirable
- Familiarity with virtual therapy delivery and managing caseloads remotely
- Must not be a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) candidate
- Candidates open to providing services across multiple caseloads are encouraged to indicate availability
Schedule and Duration:
- Full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday
- Contract covers maternity leave periods with varying start and end dates between January and March 2026
- Partial virtual caseload assignments available (e.g., .4 or .2 FTE)
